             Routers are used for better internet speed and services.Everyone wants to buy a product having all the desired qualities.For the easy selection of the users, I have listed some of the best wireless routers.Have a look and spend your money in a right place by choosing the right product.

           In this world of competition, every business man wants to compete others.As this is a computer era so all the devices related to a computer has their own importance.Especially networking devices are the backbone of the internet.Everyone in the world prefers wireless networks as compared to wire networks.Because wireless devices are more flexible than wire devices.When you are using a wireless connection you don’t need to care about wires.

1. TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750:

       Now I decided to share information with other people who love to have a fast speed internet. So let me make you familiar with its name. Its name is TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750.Having said this let’s talk about its design and specs. If you are really concerned with high throughput then C7 isn’t a bad choice.

      It is an affordable 802.11ac Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Cable Router.TP-Link Archer C7 contains six antennas (three internal antennas and yes, of course, three external as well).These Six antennas provide an ideal choice for gamers and online video streamers.

    The Archer C7 has three 5dBi detachable sturdiest antennas. As I said, “Sturdiest Antennas”, so, here is the reason some antennas are flexible enough that they need to be checked again and again. This is, somehow, feels a bothering situation for some professionals. But in this device’s case no need to perform such an action again and again.

     The device also contains two USB 2.0 Ports, these two supports external devices like printers and external drives. External antennas support 5Ghz bands and internal antennas support 2.4GHz bands.On the back of this device, there are four Gigabit LAN ports and a Gigabit WAN port. This Dual-band router supports up to 450Mbps on 2.4GHz and 1300Mbps on 5GHz band.

    C7 dual-band router’s wireless coverage is mind blowing.When I tested its range what I found was quite astonishing for me.In 2.4GHz I tested its range from different distances it can cover about 25 to 35 feet range after this, it reduces its speed near about 10 percent.On the other hand, in 5GHz with the same distance, it only slowed down 5 to 7 percent of its speed.

    One thing which I disliked the most is, you are not provided with the option that you would be able to set this dual-band 11ac router to operate only at 802.11n.But in most of the dual band 11ac routers, this functionality is actual been provided.

Final Remarks

The C7 provides only average performance. I couldn’t say that it is among the best routers I ever tested before but it delivers a satisfying performance for the home users who they are interested in video streaming, VPN office user, and so on.

2. ASUS RT-N66U:

      The Asus Rt N66U is a product of 2012 of Asus company.This is dual band router having 2.4Ghz and 5GHZ band simultaneously.

    As the companies are facing very high competition in routers productions RTN66u is one of the best product of Asus company to defeat many other routers of the same price and value.It is featuring dual band(2.4ghz and 5ghz)with three different antennas, Two 2.0 USB ports, four  gigabit  LAN ports, and a one gigabits  WAN port.There is also a WPS Button and a reset button on its backside.There are a power button and a tiny power port.

     On the front side, there are Nine LEDs  to show different functionalities of the all the ports  and buttons.The Security features are WPA, having PSK(TKIP, AES), Enterprise radius.Moreover, WPA2, Firewall, Mac address filtering and DMZ are also present.

    It supports 3G internet with its high speed.It is also IPV6 supported and also a customizable firewall, and QoS.It is an 802.11n router and the fastest router in my experience ever.You can use as many as wire connections at home it will give your same speed. There is also an antenna stand to give its antennas maximum height and provide you maximum coverage.

The router has a very wide wireless range and its speed remains the same after even using the storage devices in its ports.One thing that creates a difference in this router is its fast speed that is up to 450Mbps  on both bands and also the wifi users can retain the same speed if they have  450 MBps standard(3*3 standard).However, all the Pre-N wireless standard that are existing nowadays can be connected  to the router. So it is one of the high-speed routers under $100.

    Its performance is no doubt very superb when using it on 5ghz band at 15 to 20 feet  away it provides you about 180 to 185 Mbps speed. Yeah, you must be shocked because all the (3*3) 450 Mbps clients were used in this test.There is a more exciting thing about it that is when we increased the range about 90 to 100 feet its speed reduces to 150 to 155Mbps.

    When this router was tested in regular 2*2(300Mbps) clients it again gives an excellent result of about 110 to 115Mbps speed in a close range and 90 to 98 Mbps speed in a long range.

     On 2.4Ghz bandits speed was also impressive.When its throughput test was taken at 15 to 20 feet range it gives you 55 to 57 Mbps speed and at long range it speed was reduce to 40 to 45 Mbps, and at 2*2 clients it gives you 35 to 38 Mbps and 25 to 29 Mbps  speed at both close and long ranges respectively.It has a very long range up to 300 feet that are the highest range in all the routers of its category.

Setup

Its setup is very easy if you are addicted to installing many routers then installing this is also just a matter of time.There is an installation guide disk with its package.The RTN66U also provide a web interface that is user-friendly.So for the settings or  better performance open the web interface here you can select your preferred internet setting either 3g or regular internet.

Interface

There are three parts of the interface before everything else just select upper first part  and follow the setup wizard and enjoy the fast speed internet.

In the middle part of the interface, you can see all the connected devices to the router and can access or block them whatever you want to do you can do.i.e You can block a website by using this part, limit the traffic to the router and can block any wifi client and can manage router’s USB ports.The Bottom or the last part of the web interface is for the Advanced settings of the routers from here you can set virtual private network(VPN) for the remote users.

So In short this Router has all the features that should be in a good router it is one of the best choices for the home, office, or any users in a reasonable prize.

3. Netgear N600 (DGND3700):

    Netgear company has its name in routers production.DGND3700 is one of the comparable product of its company.its one feature enforced me to write about it is its capability that it can work as a modem  and as well as  a router.

In its specs, it is dual band router that can work on 2.4ghz and 5ghz, and a gigabit ethernet supports with two USB ports for external storage.so for video and gaming this is the best choice having 5ghz band.The different thing about it is that it has NAND flash in it which provides you a high storage capacity.it has abilities to store multiple SSIDs in one setting only it can also be used as the guest network storage.

As in its full name it has DGND3700+100NAS so it has NAS and DLNA streaming media server which will make you comfortable while playing games if you are a gamer.And will also make video streaming fast.It’s Flash memory is 128MB and Ram is also 128MB.The processor that is used on it is dual core.

It has also some advanced features it can be used to block different URLs whatever you want to block(website blocking),It has ability to setup wireless and bridge mode by using its Dynamic DNS service,and number of users that are using its WAN port can be checked on its meter which is called traffic meter.

To setup, a VPN connection some advanced features are also available it will lead you to a number of questions to make a strong VPN remote connectionthis feature was not available in old versions.

Now let’s talk about its speed that is a very important factor.its speed is also very good in both 2,4ghz and 5ghz bands.it is not an incompetent router.Its speed is up to 300Mbps which is achieved by its two antennas.We have tested it with different ranges its speed of transferring a file  from one device to another is 17mbps in 2.4ghz and 19mbps in 5ghz if you are sitting in the same place having about 50 feet distance.when its test were taken at 100 feet its speed reduces to 10Mbps to 11 Mbps on 2.4ghz and up to 13mbps on 5ghz.

Its setup is very easy just like other but in this router, you will not get the basic genie app for installing routers. But still it is easy all you have to do is just connect your modem or router with your DSL line and connect the computer to its LAN port.After this just open the browser on your computer and enter default username and password which will be provided with its instruction copy.This will take you to the management interface. Now Netgear wizard will lead the user to setup the connection and detect your internet connection if not then add it manually there will be a manually adding option for it.After this just enjoy your fast speed internet in a reasonable prize.

4. D-LINK DIR-813 AC-750:

     The dir-813 router is Next Generation Technology-Wireless AC750 which comes up with almost a complete package as somebody could have wished to have.Let’s talk about its specifications and features.

DIR-813 AC-750 is a Wireless Dual-band Wifi router.Its Dual Band Performance provides you a comfortable speed up to 300Mbps(2.4GHz)+433Mbps(5GHz).It means this device delivers a comprehensive speed for video streaming, online file transferring, and yes, of course, online video calls without any kind of attenuation.

This Dual-band router also comes up with a Backward Compatibility which is compatible with a/b/g/n devices.For Wired Device, it provides you four fast Ethernet ports.DIR-813 has three external antennas which deliver excellent maximum range around your home.I would say if you want a better use of your cash while purchasing Wifi router then DIR-813 Dual-band router won’t be a bad choice.

As I mentioned earlier that it provides you four fast Ethernet LAN(4*10/100M)ports, it means you are able to connect with up to 4 wired devices.It also contains a WAN(1*10/100M) port to which you can connect your internet cable.A WPS(Wifi Protected Setup) button is a facility of on/off Wifi.Both WPA and WPA2(Wifi Protected Access) are used for Wifi Security.

After discussing all above mentioned now, it turns to talk about What is inside the package?.The Package contains AC750 Router, an Ethernet cable, a Power Adapter, and a Wifi Configuration Card.Its weight is only 0.54lb.

DIR-813 also comes equipped with a repeater which allows you to increase the range of your wireless network.With this Dual-band 2.4GHz mode, it covers a range of near about 10 to 15 feets and with its 5GHz band it covers a range of near about 25-30 feet.Now as far its dimensions concerned so here it is(0.32”*7.48”*5.46”).

But I was going through reviews, I found a negative aspect related to the very device although this remark does not matter a lot but some people really want to have such things.A person came up with a complain that the packaging of this DIR-813 Wifi router is not so fancy as I expected.

5. Securifi Almond

     Securifi is a new company and almonds is there first router which is touch screen and provides user-friendly interface just like Windows 8.I have tested many routers of different companies but almonds touchscreen interface attracted me to write about its specs design.Although having a touchscreen is not enough for a good router it must have all the capabilities to provide better services to users.

Securifi Almond is a single band router but It can work as a both wireless bridge and router.So those who want to use the only router then simply install it in your networking but if you have a router and want to extend the range of your router then use Almonds as a wireless bridge by just adding that device to it.As nowadays most routers are an 802.11ac standard supporter but almonds can have only 802.11 b/g over 2.4ghz band.There are only two antennas which  are used to provide up to 300Mbit  on its 2.4ghz band.

On the other side, there is a one WAN port for connecting to a broadband modem and two LAN ports for creating a local connection in home or offices.All these ports are not gigabit supported they are only  regular ethernet (10/100) ports.Almonds support IPV4 not IPV6 only so it is another deficiency in its features.There is also website blocking option in its basic interface from there you can block any website that makes you angry in other words it provides parental control option.

As it has fewer features but still it is a very powerful product for home users or shops.Its speed in almost 20 feet is 45 to 55 Mbps and if the range is increased to a maximum of 100 to110 feet its speed decreases to 15 to 22 Mbps.

Now let’s talk about its setup as I said it is touchscreen so you don’t need to mess with your computer for installing the router all you have to do is just switch on the router you will see a username and password interface of the router enter default username and password that will be available on copy given with it.It will ask you to choose as a router or bridge. You can add device through add button.You can change all the settings including wifi name, password number of users etc. its Wifi can be used to the maximum of 50 users.After this open the default browser to your computer and enter routers default IP address that is  printed on the router instructions copy or you can also see it from router touchscreen interface and you will be directed to routers web interface enter same username and password and change basic advanced settings of the router from here.thuis is how you can install and enjoy its average speed.

So as it does not compete with the latest routers qualities but it will be a good choice if you want to use it at the home or in a shop.

6.NETGEAR N300 DOCSIS 3.0(C3000)

NetGear has deployed a new N300 Wi-Fi cable Modem router (c3000) which supports DOCSIS 3.0, 802.11n and gigabit ethernet. Well, Docsis means (Data Over Cable Services Interface Specification) it is an ISPs protocol which is used to transmit high-speed data in coaxial cable.

Due to this specification, it supports  up to 300Mbps speed on broadband.On the router side, it has a four  LAN ports and supports gigabit ethenrnet.C3000 is a single band  Wi-fi router that runs only 2.4ghz band. Its design includes two buttons one for Wifi and another one for WPS.In its front side, there are seven LEDs which are use to show different functionalities and those functionalities are the USB connection, power,  downstream traffic, upstream traffic, WAN, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and  wired status.

It is Ipv6 compatible and also supports NAT, WPS, WPA/WPA2-PSK.It also has an SPI firewall.

For home networking, you can share an external storage for all users by using it’s 2.0  USB port.Its installation is a very easy step Netgear has provided a Netgear genie from there you can install mobile apps and web interface which makes its installation an easy step. After reading instructions on installing these apps just connect your router with wire and make an ISP call for registration and enjoy your fast speed internet.

Until now I was discussing only the bright part of the router but there are some of the dark sides too.As it supports 802.11n wifi internet standard so its wifi speed is slow. But if we make only a wire connection then its speed is very fast as we expect from a good router.But wifi speed is still not so bad.
