         Android widgets are nothing but little glorified shortcuts for the applications that you have on your android device. Widgets appear on the home screen of your android device and will be helpful perform some actions through the various apps instantly without having to actually open the applications.

So here in this piece of article I am going to introduce to some of the useful widgets

• Android devices actually give us the option to pin our contacts to the front screen, but to dial the contact, it takes a few more taps to actually contact that person. But there is a widget for that task, Direct Dial widget serves you that purpose exactly. To add the widget on your home screen, just long press on the empty space and add the contact you want and tapping that will instantly start a call, and direct message widget helps you to start a conversation with the contact.
• If you want more than just a simple direct message to the direct contact, Google’s messenger offers a widget which lets you to have a sneak peak at the last few messages and you can even reply to that particular text.
• Gmail label widgets will actually help you to access a particular label in your Gmail directly from your home screen.
• The tiny scan shortcut allows you scan the documents you want using a simple and useful widget. This android widget even gives you the option save your scanned files in different folders.
